Last year, my wife and I volunteered a few hours of our time to Charleston Basket Brigade, an organization that has been working hard every year to provide Thanksgiving meals to local families that otherwise could not afford one. We chose to help pack “baskets” of food at the North Charleston Coliseum. I’ll never forget walking into that exhibit hall to see thousands of boxes (each of which would soon feed a family of 6), and to see our community get together to pack and deliver the feasts to local families in need.
This year, I wanted to share the Basket Brigade story, in hopes that you might want to participate in packing, delivering, or one of the fundraising activities that are planned this month.
